Firm releases digital satellite TV USB box

TAIWANSE FIRM Twinhan said it has released the Starbox, which it's claimed will allow you to watch digital satellite TV on laptps and desktops.

Software provided with the Starbox will allow you to directly burn recorded programmes onto DVD media, and scheduled wake up recording.

Twinhan said installation is easy with users just selecting the satellite and scanning the channels. The software lists the ones to view.

You will need a staellite dish. Twinhan said the Starbox will support DiSEqC 1.2 and USALS, the with the latter bundled into the Twinhan software.

You can also use the Starbox to access the Internet by setting up an ISP account and using the software.

Twinhan is selling the Starbox in the UK for £79 from distributors www.hisat.com and www.mcsat.co.uk. µ
