SOCIAL NOTWORKING sites are fast becoming distribution points for pics of foetuses.

Ultrasound photographs of the unborn are becoming popular on Myspace. Parents-to-be try are trying to convince man plus dog that their snaps of what looks like a lizard is actually going to be god's gift to humanity.

According to AP, parents say posting ultrasound photos is an easy way to announce an exciting piece of information to lots of people all at once. Others think it is really showing a bit too much online.

This coupled with comments like, "Here you can see the spine and little riblets," and, "Cute little foot!" are enough to send most of us who have never been parents reaching for the sick bucket.

Mothers-to-be quoted seem convinced that everyone enjoyed seeing their ultrasound photos.

Melissa Hemrich told AP that, when you're pregnant, everyone's excited and wants to see the internal snaps.

But as AP pointed out, ultrasound photos, come with shedloads of personal information written on the scan. Then there is the matter of ex-boyfriends and husbands who didn’t know you were preggers reading the news online, or the fact that a six-week old foetus sadly might not actually make it to those first-day-at-school pictures.

Still, in some cases it might be geeks who are desperate to provide photographic evidence that they have finally had sex at least once. µ
