Bank gives town's money away
Not again, says entire town

THE PEOPLE of Poughkeepsie, New York are not happy at the moment, and it is not because a small furry creature has looked the wrong way.

US dollar planeThe town's official bank account has been the victim of a number of hack attacks, and as a whole, its population has decided that this is not good enough.

The town, which banks with the TC Bank, has seen a chunk of its funds siphoned off by hackers in Eastern Europe, an act that in itself should have been flagged as alarming or unusual, according to the townsfolk.

"We find it unacceptable that movement, or attempted movement, of money from a Town account to an account in Eastern Europe did not immediately raise a 'red flag' with the bank, was not questioned by anyone at the bank, but was simply processed," said officials from the town as they echoed the sentiments of anyone anywhere whose bank account has ever been compromised.

According to reports four withdrawals were made, worth a total of $378,000, and routed to accounts at banks in the Ukraine.

And no one at the bank thought that was odd? µ
