ILM shows off special effects in Star Wars Blu-ray edition

Analysis Storm troopers, Boba Fett and an excitable C-3PO turn out for launch event

THE INQUIRER attended the world exclusive premiere of the trailer for the Star Wars Blu-ray edition at The O2 on Friday, where C-3PO, Boba Fett and folks from ILM were on hand to share some details about everyone's favourite space opera.

People travelled from the farthest reaches of the Galaxy, including Australia and Mexico, just to get a sneak peek at what to expect when the Blu-ray discs hit the shelves this September.

Storm Troopers - the worst soldiers in the Galaxy - were on hand to make sure there were no civil disturbances, although they did have problems negotiating stairs in their uniforms so were easily evaded. The INQUIRER didn't take kindly to having a laser blaster stuck in its face, so they might be a man or two short when the unit reports for duty tomorrow.

A take

I think all star-wars related articles and discussion should be relegated to in-house circulation in old people's care homes.
You went past the maximum milking of the franchise about 20 years ago already lucas, give the world a break already.
