Durp

Some of you guys are simple minded. These people are highly relevant to technology, and popular culture all together. We "rank" based on friends and followers because it relates to the current trends. By analyzing the popularity of tech giants, we can predict changes in the industry.

Try learning a bit about market analysis.

What?

Like everyone else says, his account is still active.

And who cares who has the most friends online anyways. Is this really worth writing an article about? ...like really?

Actually it looks like vic and matt just changed their profile names for some reason.

Agree...

@Mike That's right, Mark is still there, he just decided to change his privacity settings, I also have set my profile so that only certain circles can watch certain information...

Also, @Darren is right, nowadays some mass media consider the social network's accounts value by the number of "friends" when it's really suppossed to be valued by each friend's value.

Greetings!

Really?

And here I thought only adolescent girls cared about who had the most "friends"....this Is really kind of pathetic.

why so many?

i don't understand why it is considered a good thing to have thousands of friends on a social network. are they reading all of those friends' posts?

Well..

Zuckerberg only opened a google+ account to see what features he can steal for Facebook. So who cares..

They did not quit.

They didn't quit. They hid who has them in circles and who they have in circles. It's a privacy option. Just because you can't see it doesn't mean other people cannot.

Also, saying that people you have in circles are all your 'friends' is somewhat a misrepresentation. Not everyone in my circles i consider a friend.

Really? We're ranking people based on their friend counts?

Are we really now ranking people on their friend counts?

The media has found a new low.

Social networks are useful as communication tools to keep track of your friends. Who cares who is following Mark or anyone else?

boring...

Really?

@Nige
If you haven't heard of *any* of those people, you either educate your self or you shouldn't be reading a tech news site.

Also, since when was Felicia Day a video game designer? She's only ever done voice acting as far as I know.

Who?

Probably it's me - but I've never heard of any of the people mentioned in this article!

Find out you journalists!

Since they all did it at the same time you must conclude that either they became aware of some flaw or they agreed it was silly to steal the show since they are management and agreed with each other to 'hide'
Or there's some tax break they miss if they are open.. ;)
Or maybe there's some secret VIP google++ added now that only a selected few have access to.
