How to build an APPLE COMPUTER (R)...

1. take a mid-range intel processor from a PC
2. add some mid-range RAM and peripherals (from a PC)
2. place it onto a PC equivalent motherboard so the system is actually a mid-range PC
3. remove functionality and change the connectors so they can only be used with your companies products
4. add a mid-range hard-disk with limited capacity so users have to upgrade later
5. install a CLOSED Operating System with limited functionality and a poor user interface
6. make sure software for that operating system is CLOSED and there is no API so people cannot develop their own sofware
6. put it all in a shiny box so trendy people think its cool (especially arty people)
7. add Digital Rights Management and remove any means of securing the system against hackers
8. add a kernel layer so that people can run windows applications on the intel PC chip anyway
9. trademark any marketing insignia to enable you to sue or issue legal action in order to make more money
10. market the device as much better than a "PC" with malicous advertising (even though it is a mid-range PC anyway?)
11. sell it for at least 2x the cost of the equivalent PC components
12. charge users for operating system upgrades even though they are required to "fix" a previously inferior operating system
13. charge customers 2x as much for upgrades that will be required because they could only afford the "base-line" model
14. spend your profits on opening glamourous stores across west-london...
