Pity you don't read the article you quote.
1. The victim was a 46 year old woman - hardly a kid
2. The report says she was wearing head-phones - could have been anything from a 30 yr old Walkman to a mobile phone
3. The research quoted was based on deaths in USA & Europe, not Australia.
I guess you can't resist attributing any bad effects from any sort of mobile gadget to Apple, and the evil Steve Jobs.
Replace "iPod" with "Walkman".
Replace "2010" with (say) "1981".
Publish your diatribe in analogue format, using ink and paper.
We've heard all this before. Only the names change. Careless people are the problem, not the manufacturers of the devices, be they iRiver, Creative, Philips, Sony, Apple et al.
Rather than making a smug 'fanboi' piece out of this, why not explain how normal human beings manage to get themselves killed by carelessness.
A number of years ago I managed to t-bone another car with mine in a carpark. I was wearing headphones at the time, plugged into a CD player. Of course that makes me both careless and a CD fanboi. Yeah...
Careful what you might wish for...the inq does a clever job of not slating Apple directly, or blatantly lying about it. But it's a fine line, and so far, they've yet to say anything which will land them in court.
It merely slags off the end user group who are "fair game".
It would not surprise me if Apple were just waiting for inq to slip up. They'll be watching Nick and Lawrence carefully...

T boning another car in a car park would make you a bit of a dick.
Hope you've given up driving.
There's enough morons walking about, we don't need them driving as well :)

I have another thing to say.
Apple is an overrated (and sometimes life threatening :s ) Toyshop.
I have only one thing to say. Nick Farrell you complete Fking moron.
Riding a motorbike through town in rush hour is a nightmare because of these retards.
