This may be new to western world, but in china and india where dual and triple sim phones are common, this is no big deal. There are even tripe sim standby phones where two sims operate in gsm bands and third one in cdma at the same time. What HTC can nnovate is bring a decent OS like Android or Winmobile to the the dual/triple sim phone world. Also cdma(2.5g) & wcdma(3g) standards are not compatible.

HTC kind of already had a phone with CDMA and GSM capabilities. It was called the Touch Pro 2. Nothing new...
