Did you read the reviews on that last link you gave? The thing breaks down in less than a week for most users, so basically that's not a real product at all, you might dub it a one-use throw away item if anything, but that's not comparable to a normal flashdrive.
@XEX You've missed the point, the point is that it's low profile so you can leave it in and it won't bend or break your port when you move your laptop around.
I do not see a need to pay premium for things that can be obtained for much less.

IIRC, they said that USB flash drives have poor power supplies, so that you should keep it plugged in only as long as it takes to copy stuff. otherwise it will break in time.
anyway, the whole point of usb flash is portability, obv.
