This crap doesn´t play any kind of video. Nor mp4, avi, mkv, NOTHING. It states a bizarre "INCORRECT DATA" or "FORMAT NOT SUPPORTED. As a cell phone it works flawessly, but as a video player it is very annoying and useless.
It is real lie that it plays "any kind of video". Bada OS is a bad thing. The Samsung Jet is far better playing any kind of DivX, Xvid.
When choosing a phone I must take into consideration the phones' ability to sync with a PC. In business it's very important I can do several things with my phone: save messages to PC, record voice calls quickly and without time restrictions and then save recordings to PC, easily sync contacts and calendar with Outlook.
The Samsung software that comes with the phone does everything I nee very well and with each call made or received there is an easily reached option to record the conversation.
As far as the phone itself is concerned, all functions operate very well and call quality is exceptional.
The menus are fast, the screen looks great, the camera and video recording are flawless and messaging is the best I have used.
This is a great phone and does so much more than an iphone out of the box.
My friend got this phone...I tinkered around with it. Is a cool phone no doubt.
But it only has 1.5GB of storage!
Of which you can only use like 1.2GB's!
What an epic failure!
Phone with these many features...hell it even plays MKV's @ 720p!
Still not even 8GB user memory!
FAIL!
They only bundle in a 2GB microSD card!
Yes it supports mSD cards upto 32GB...
but the mSD slot is beneath the battery not hot-swappable.
Another EPIC FAIL!
All Samsung need's to do is keep the price same & launch a new version of this phoen with at least 8GB memory...If not...this will always be the "niche" phone. Don't Bother.
I saw an ad for this on ITV the other night. It actually told me stuff about the phones' features rather that piss about with stupid people holding it in bars or some pretentious arty s**t you normally get. I'm due a new phone soon and might get it for this reason.

Choice and competition are good, but isn't it time for OS peddlers to start consolidating ratehr than diversifying?
And it is fantastique and I don't use the word lightly.
