3g works for browsing

the kindle2 also included a browser under experimental, and browsing does work over the 3g connection.

it's not actually a very good browser, but it is available and there are times when that's very useful

this is almost certinly the same software that's on the kindle2, international kindle 2, kindle DX, international kindle DX, and the new 'graphite' kindle DX

@D.F.

I believe that the 3G is solely for purchasing and downloading books from the Amazon Kindle book store. It basically means that you don't have to have an internet connection and don't have to faff about with WiFi settings even if you do.

Regarding the article, I think that you can get UK centric versions that work on the 3G network over hear as I saw something relating to this when I was looking at the Kindle DX.

Browsing over 3G?

I wonder if the 3G version allows web browsing, and how that is charged for.
