CEOP's

So the only people actually installing this button will be the cops pretending to be 13y olds to try and catch the ped's. The 13 - 18 y olds will be signing up with a false date of birth, as we all do, and the elderly cops will end up reporting 13y olds pretending to 19 chatting up cops 40+ pretending to be 13. Sounds good to me!

Get Mr. Dreyfus!

Hey guys, a whole bunch of us are going to team up on that funny looking teacher Mr. Dreyfus who speaks strange and gives out lots of homework. Join in, click the report button! After this we're going for Tommy's older brother.

Small concession by Facebook

"Embarrassing turnaround and capitulation"??? Facebook has agreed to make an application available for kids to download to their profile page if they want to do so. If they don't download the app (which very few will), then no button. The whole idea of a panic button is ill-conceived and will do nothing to enhance child safety on social networks.

Hmm, you tell Facebook your age?

And now anyone can discover who's 13 to 18? -- I don't think *any* use of Facebook is wise. A stupid premise can't be fixed.
