Would they have incurred the legal wrath of Sony...
...if instead of (as I believe was the case) releasing the entire game - executable, graphics, audio and all - they'd instead followed the lead of the guys who did the Windows Mobile/Pocket PC version, and released just the executable which required a copy of the data files from the PC version?
I was wondering what lemmings had to do with sony as when it came out they did not have a publishing arm, but it seems they bought the company that developed it first.
Ah well just change the name to "Suicidal Furry Creatures" and all good :D
So they started working on a highly publicised port of a well known game without first getting permission to do said port? Idiots.
Regardless of whether Sony ever bother to do something with the franchise, it should have been obvious they wouldn't let a bunch of people hack together a port and give it away for free.
