If I was ever considering to buy an Apple product...
Why would I buy an Ipad, that thing that looks like a drawing toy (only that it doesn't have those two dials)?
I mean, this new Iphony is actually a phone that does everything that that keyboardless-computer wannabe does, and better. And I can find some usefulness in a phone.
Oh, yes, I'll be missing that big screen that can't play Internet videos, what a shame.
Luckly Apple charges 10 times what would be fair for its products, which automatically makes me a non-Apple consumer.
"'Currently the average amount of RAM in mobile phones is about 288MB with a few smartphones such as the Samsung Galaxy S moving towards 512MB.'
Obviously excluding the HTC Desire which has 576Mb of RAM."
How did you made that conclusion? Average is calculated by summing bunch of numbers and then dividing the sum. If average is 288MB, it means that some have less than 288MB, some have more than 288MB and may very well include phones with 576MB of RAM. Your comment is actually hilarious.
Still, it's nice to see Farrell can even once write about Apple without article being complete bullshit.
Is that the best evidence you can come up with to support your bogus argument? Sheesh!!! Those links are over three years old! And three years in today's rapidly changing techonology environment is an eternity. I think it is in fact you that is really the INQ newbie.
Welcome to the Inquirer. Now would be a good time for you to go back to your Steve, Son of Satan, Jobs fanboi websites.

Have a nice day!
Are you new around here? Because the Inq only started using "IPhone" once it became clear that the phone was going to be a hit for Apple.

Welcome to the site!
Are you new around here ? Because it's always been Iphone here.
It's called journalistic license. Some could even call it irony (Irony ?).
It would be good for you to come with some, from time to time.
...shit.
Obviously excluding the HTC Desire which has 576Mb of RAM.
Is it just me, or should it be iPhone, iPad, iStore etc?
Why do so many people get it wrong? It's like Facebook - they don't call themselves FaceBook! Why does everyone insist on getting it wrong?!
Funny that full-blown Photoshop CS5 will edit a few decent-sized images, with multiple layers, in under 512MB of space.
Of course, there's the OS and multitasking. But really, it's incredible that coding isn't more efficient.
And I'm sure I can be called on numerous technical points. But whatever... Suck it, nerds!
