you will be VERY lucky.... IF it comes out on the FIRST DAY of the 3rd quarter! If they were that sure, you would have got a date!!! :p
steve, it looks nothing like the n97... and I have had NO problems with updates... I'm sure Nokia can ignore one angry idiot, for the millions that still buy nokia....
Dav, you need to dump vodafone, and get a non-branded handset..(the same with Orange / O2 )
I would rather do this, than pay the high rates for a 'free/cheap' handset, that is paid for by thier extra charges!
I think it looks huge really big and the HOME screen looks fine but very messy if you have all that crap on it. Thou the reviewer kept pressing the lock and unlock button it'll probably do what my 5800 XM phone did kept locking and unlocking by it's self.
It took 3 sends to the Nokia repair shop (so vodafone said) to finally say "yes it's f**ked we'll give him another one". I was going to stay with Nokia when my contract renews but might go back to Sony E.
I also agree with the above comment the 5800 XM has Firmware V50 out yet my 5800 on Vodafone can't have it I've only got V40. Even thou the website from Nokia says V50 is out Nokia Phoner update wont give me to download because it's Vodafone stopping them.
Doesn't look much different from the N97.
Crashes about the same too.
Looks about ready to ship unless Nokia have decided to do something about product quality.
Next time you get to speak to a Nokia UK person, how about you ask them why UK customers have to wait so long for firmware updates, on in some cases never get it. He's sure to blame the networks for the delay, so point out that those networks are making his company look sh*t and many people will not be buying Nokia again when it gets to upgrade time.
Oh and your webserver is shite today too, you should find a huge pile of lost packets on the floor of the server room.

I have been using 5800 on virgin, NO problems...
yeah.. dont think i need that; maybe back in 2004 it would have been useful..
That demo was one laggy experience...
