Breathtaking moments,

(1) when the enemies of net neutrality painted it as a threat to citizens' free use of the Net;

(2) when the BBC misspelled "siege".

(And Inq didn't notice, but I expected that. Or whimsically left it uncorrected.)

The report at http://www.freepress.net/node/80446 links to a PDF that presents the speech correctly spelled - and that ironically loads Charatcer Tranpsosition Virus 29A onto your computer, but that's PDF for you, if you start seeing letters that you type swapped around on your screen in the next twenty fuor hours then you are probably infetced. Unfortunately it's incuralbe. :-)

Net Neutrality is freedon

@Roving:

I suggest you get your information from someone other than that nitwit Glenn Beck.
Net neutrality has been an issue way before Obama became POTUS. NN is NOT what you think it is no matter how many right-wing ENTERTAINERS tell you otherwise.

@Regulas:

Anyone who compares someone to Nazis, whether its George Bush, liberals, neo-cons, etc. has nothing intelligent to contribute to the conversation.

Like cable...

"...if that happens the Internet will end up just like cable TV"

As previously observed by the Inq. America has some of the worst TV in the world, and it's about to get some of the worst internet in the world too if this pans out as predicted.

FCC must be full of old-school Luddite regulators.

GREAT! ISPs are common carriers, and the ruling as such will merely continue present conditions.

@Roving: please get past the left-right paradigm, that's political theater as phony as professional wrestling.

wake up

freedom o' t'internet will soon be a fond memory if these control freaks have their way.

you are all just consumers who's only liberty will be to choose how to put your pittance of a disposable income back into the economy for the mega-corporations to extract for personal gain

net neutrality = control

Lets cut the BS and tell it like it is. Net neutrality is a push by Obama's statist goverment to make people see information the way they want it. You look up political information as it is on google, you get the most biased of liberal listings already. The left doesn't want neutrality they want control.
