It's funny that CPU's with smaller instructionsets are still using less power, funny because although more complexity means more transistors you don't need to use them all at the same time and if you could just use the ones needed at that point it would reduce power and heat, and unlike the RAM access and cache and such that you can't always power down; the instruction decoding should be able to have almost no power when not used, so perhaps they should focus on that next, super low loss transistors in the instruction handling section.
