I agree with Dan "The Man", $575 is too much. $400 or less is for netbooks; let's keep it that way. $575 is priced right out of netbook contention. The manufacturers are making a mistake to think <most people buy netbooks because of the size and not due to the price. People would buy full size 17" notebooks with OLED multitouch displays, 4 GB of DDR3, 1 TB SSD HD, blu-ray, and frickin' laser beams attached if they could for $300-$400... not the other way around. They buy them because they are cheap (the kit and the people) or just don't have the money to drop on a full notebook and need a computer.
So, I agree with Dan and maybe "Drashek" has a point, but I wouldn't know because I don't even bother TRYING to read anything by "Drashek" any more <starting YAWN, if you want your message heard, at least ATTEMPT proper grammar; perhaps even try including these new inventions called "complete sentences" which are compounded with an actual subject combined with a predicate. Also, I hear proper spelling can be super swell, while "rambling" combined with incoherent "gibberish" is likely to cause you to find yourself sitting in a "special" class with kids wearing sticker laden, white bicycle helmets whom pick boogers and smell like portable latrines. Although, I am somewhat partial to run-on sentences!
For Mobile or dedicated network, small processors might be fine. In Open SET TOP Box Enviorment, realizing how agressive InterNet Is, SET TOP Box is like Infant Against Mike Tyson, very intent on Knock Out & one sided event.
Cost, about same as desktop Machine, Life Expectancy 1/10. Not Terminal Protected by copper plant MainFrames. Just Weak Home Computer.
for Mobi crowd, Amazing how anaund picked Mobi for Promintory point, Making $$$ for every one, Even Oncologist.
Dedicated networks help. You ISP is Phone Number,Then RElinking to subscribers service line. look at number of digits. anyone can P2P & throw in wrench into finely tuned gears, only dedicated SET TOP Box, same as member of isp family,Only More Dedicayed, therefore Protected, might Slow Down destruction of Property.
Always Need Active Line or Mobi connection auth, Then Someone Elses' Line. so more complex, huge beast, too large for anyone provider or usurper to control. Unfortuntely, easy to KILL equipment, Unguarded. Techs beg each other to Lessen Load, Increase Churn & Blamo, NO Internet until PAY again. Just Keeps on Working. Small Cheap Processors Do That Easier.

drashek
That's not a netbook, that's a notebook. Anything over $400 is not a netbook, IMHO.
