Procedure to Make Call is long

I am using XPERIA X10. Can anybody tell me the shortest way to make call from phonebook or dialer?

It Is Impressive...

Finally decided to buy the luster white, I got this phone three days back, and it is really impressive. The first thing I did was update the firmware with the latest release of R2BA024. Really, really impressed with the new Android OS...

X10 not so impressive

I've seen it in action and it is pretty slow and laggy. It seems like SE interface is not optimized very well.

Just like the first Xperia, you should think about installing a newer Android version, like 2.1 with Sense UI from HTC Desire.

But then you could actually buy HTC Desire in the first place.

X10 will get an Android upgrade

"What I hope to get across to you all, is that there will be a software update for Xperia X10 that will upgrade the complete Sony Ericsson User Experience Platform based on newer version of the Android OS." - Sumit Malhotra

Offline charging?

This isn't necessarily faster than charging with the unit on; it depends on the internal architecture of the phone and the maximum current output of the charger.

In pretty much all cases, the power consumption of the phone electronics with the screen off and cpu idle is totally negligible vs the adaptor power. If you're charging whilst playing a game on the phone, that's a different matter...

Gmail Contacts are Possible

I just wanted to mention that Gmail contacts are most certainly possible to be imported and synced using the X10. I think you may not have configured the automatic updating properly:

Settings Data Synchronization Google Sync

and hen enable both Calendar and Contacts sync. I can't remember if these were enabled by default when I setup my Gmail account when I got my X10.
