I believe Intel has used its own MeeGo to kill Microsoft.
I like it, and I don't to use Windows again. let's hope that Intel can attracts some giants Software house like Adobe and AutoCAD to port its software into MeeGo.
A new OS like Meego is able to hit the market in a relatively complete and usable state.
Meanwhile, any new OS that comes from Microsoft is a mess. Microsoft's new phone OSes, KIN and Windows Phone 7 will both ship in a shoddy condition. Both will be rushed to market in an incomplete state, with vital features missing (WP7 can't copy paste). It then takes Microsoft many years to fix these dysfunctional walled-garden OSes, by which time it has been booted out of the mobile market.

Let's all buy a Meego phone.
Simply because it's Linux.
Real Linux.
