The author must not know much about the US, a country full of the mentioned "fundamentalist religious nutcases", where noone has a problem with blowing children to pieces in the 3rd world but everyone has one with talking about sex openly. Jobs probably knows very well that US journalists would feel morally obliged to support the iPhone over Android even if they would themselves like to buy a porn phone because of what he said. Bigoted country, perfect marketing for it ....

I am always amused at the horror that mac fanbois have when a journalist disagrees with their delusions. Why assume that he must be "jealous" of something? Occam's razor just says that he does not like Apple much. He does not have to be "jealous". It is fairly clear that his comments don't indicate jealousy, just that he thinks that Apple produces over priced junk. In this story he is pointing out that Steve Jobs even wants to control iPad owner's sexuality. That is nothing to be jealous about... oohhh Steve Jobs control my ability to look at boobies too.

This news writer criticised Apple and it's high performing products because of jealousy. I support Apple and its products because they work, their products have a substantially lower impact on the environment than anything else on the market and their morals come from non-Christian beliefs. If no company makes an effort to censor what children see parents wont either. The best comments in this article where "I win!" and "Completely crap". The writer has grammatical errors.

Perhaps Apple have determined that their biggest/target market share either doesn't care for porn or are parents buying for their kids.

It is a bit ironic that Steve Jobs is in business with Rupert Murdoch.
After all was it not Rupe who introduced 'page 3' to the masses.
If Apple want to justify their stance properly, then why do they not control internet access on Apple Macs and Notebooks.

I don't think this article tells the entire truth...I think that many Apple customers gain great sexual satisfaction through their interactions with the "Apple ecosystem":

- They get their masochistic desires fulfilled by submitting to Jobs' will and control. It "hurts" to spend what little money you have on expensive Applegadgets. And the more choices are taken away from them, the more they are treated like they have no volition of their own, the better they like it. Oh yeah, make me hurt, Stevie!

- Apple's products are also like legally-purchased "forbidden fruit" for those with sadistic twists; all shiny and nice on the outside, but built from the "oh so bad" suffering of sweatshop-dominated little children on the inside. And Apple employees who speak or act out of line are "whipped" by the Apple secret police (and sometimes even commit suicide!). Ohhh my...!

For the 500th time, VHS "took off" because it offered 2 hour long tapes when Betamax was still stuck at 60 minutes. In other words, feature films could come in one VHS tape or two Betamax tapes, and video clubs obviously preferred to stock and rewind only one tape per film.

By the time Beta got 2-hour tapes, VHS was up to 4 hours.

Betamax actually had a niche in porn for several years because it allowed you to pause the tape (VHS did not, in those days), had superior video quality, and a lot of porn films *did* fit in Betamax tapes.

iAd will fail if companies are worried that their advertisements might appear on porn apps. The App store will fail if porn ads appear on legitimate apps. The iPad will become a joke if it becomes known that the most successful apps are porn apps and the biggest advertisers are from the porn industry.

Apple lets you download porn on your own time via the web, loading movies and photos while Android is willing to let you buy a porn app but has crippled their machines so you can only use 500 MB for apps plus the controls don't even finger tap very correctly ANd each of the 6 Android OSes uses their own stores. Clearly, Apple knows what they are doing and Android is focused on the wrong issues - a porn store sure, a viable usable smartphone, not so much. So, if you're advocating porn, Android is definitely the way to go. If you need a smartphone that workas correctly and is actually useful for more than just porn - the iPhone is definitely 100 times the android porn phone.

Apples app store may not sell hard core porn applications like android does. But you can use safari to surf to any pornsite a user may wish to goto. And believe me there are enough porn sites on the web already. Apple just doesn't want to profit directly from the sale of porno applications and smear it's reputation. If you need a porn store to sell your pornphone, not very smart phone, then like Job's sez. there's android. 2 have a choice is not bad. Just be the better choice and u will do well.
