MS knows most companies are waiting for W7 SP1 before even considering a rollout. Even though they show record profits and installs, we know it's an OEM licensing numbers game just like when VIsta was released. The real success will be in the corporate environment. If SP1 is rushed-out then IT folk should give it a good shakedown before committing to confirm it's a good update.
Something MS could do that would be very convenient for us Windows Users, would be to put out cumulative rollouts every year, or even 6 months. It could really make the job of installing Windows fresh a lot less time consuming and less trouble. Just a thought...
ALDERS' REMEMBER sp1 FROM xp. Reason Anyone From Decade Ago Remembers Was Scale of How BAD is It. Forget DSL, Cost Prohibitive & Impossible for XP, at that time. Microsoft had Evil Sneer in olden days.
People had to BUY XP Service Pack from Microsoft. About another $10, Computer, Pentium 1,II,III or t-Bird, Barton Core Just about to hit with 10 milion trannies, Whoopy.
Over Decades Microsoft has come to fear own marketing & public has developed keen awareness of getting even, in Eurpope. So Bring on SP, Just Remember, ig Vole had it Their Way, Customer have to BUY Whole New O/S.
