They forgot to mention one company tossing an aspiring young engineer out a 12th floor window simply because he lost an iphone prototype / engineering sample.
Here's looking at you Foxconn ,,!,,
I'll never buy another foxconn labeled product after reading that story. i word it that way because i know foxconn supplies many internal components used by most OEM's in their products, so completely avoiding foxconn would equal completely avoiding computer products altogether.
I'm not saying Apple is *evil* BUT this is sheerly PR necessitated by the political attitudes of (nearly all) their customers.
By the way, you who think you're a "capitalist"; those are the conditions *you'd* be laboring under except for the concessions won by those pesky socialists and unionists.
I despise Apple - their business model, just how far they've drifted from their roots, and ideals - but I DO have to give them fair cop for at least tabling this report of themselves.
I can't stand Apple as a company, and I'm not enamoured of their products either, but I can't help but think that this story doesn't actually make them look bad - after all it's their investigation that's turned all this stuff up. I'd be interested to see the results of a similar scrutiny of HTC or Dell etc etc etc.
Regarding the previous comments, hasn't Larrabee been shelved? And isn't the i3's integrated GPU totally underwhelming? I think Fermi and Cypress are probably the better bets for now :)
At least Apple do this sort of thing. I havent seen any really publicly available responsibility documents out there from the other big guns. I'd love to see an Independant report produced comparing Apples and Dells for example.
AMD and Nvidia worst suppliers? They may have dodgey batches of goods but they might or might not treat their people better which is the point of the article. On that note however if Apple switched to Intel graphics chips I certainly wouldnt be buying another Mac! I really don't think that any integrated chip will beat the Nvidia or AMD / ATI options in the forseeable future.
AMD and nVIDIA has supplied faulty graphics chip to Apple. Apple should change its GPU supplier to Intel using its upcoming Larrabee product. I believe this is more valuable for Apple if using Intel as the main supplier for its Mac products.
Heck, even Steve Jobs believes AMD processor will not be competitive forever because its engineer did not like Intel Rock Stars.

Nice troll attempt :P
Anyway, definately some PR spin in there, but it could be legit as well... who knows...

... no mention about Foxconn and its suicide/journalist beating policy.
