Credant Deal Strong Solution? - Check Wave Systems

Wave Systems (WAVX) has been the default application pre-installed on Dell business line and for other major computer providers. With the Dell-Credant deal a customer can now select Credant upon purchase. However while Credant's software does manage self encrypting drives it does not manage TPMs. You should review Wave Systems' web-site (www.wave.com) to gain a better understanding of data encryption and the full solution Wave Systems provides in the market.

Applies to the US only.

Since Credant is a US company with ties to the US government non-US companies, agencies and individuals should stay away from this software. (Unless they think it's fine if their data is available to the US government and competing US companies...)

Credant

Either have the software installed or have your personal data go missing, the installer is quick and easy and your computer runs smoothly with it installed. So Shut it.

Yay, just what we need! More pre-installed crapware that slows down your shiny new computer.
