Memory prices work differently than most things. When the memory is yesterday's news, the prices start to increase as manufacturers switch production to the new type and steady demand for the old stuff starts to outpace supply.
A drr 2gb sodimm was about $25.00 6 months ago. Now it's around $50.
I guess the retailers are trying to make big profits out of all the new computers people got at the end of last year and wanting more ram.I have also seen oem's like Dell sell more ram on a given laptop for less than you can buy it at Newegg.
Is this just greed or the cost of ddr2?
That's just the cost of DDR.
