It's a shame these monitors are way overpriced in Sweden. 160 EURO? No way. Here we have to pay 240 for the MS236 + shipping cost. And 300 Euro for the 238h.. With these prices its more like the Asus MS-series are premium, when they are supposed to be good-looking and cheap.
@mick I very much agree with you. There is no need for speaker etc on your monitor especially when you are running a multi-monitor set up. Same goes for keyboards with USB ports, all the ones I have ever tried to use have been unable to work due to the power constraints.
I don't see any issue of not having speakers in the screen. How many people actually use monitor speakers anyway? they sound terrible, aren't that loud, and in this case would only serve to make the monitor thicker.
In regards to USB ports, they're a pretty useless feature on a screen too. Ok, so its within handy reach, but thats the only benefit. Accidentally tug on a usb cable plugged in to the computer, not much will happen. Do that too a screen, especially of that size, and you may end up having to buy a new one (I've seen this!). At the end of the day, its no hassle plugging in an extension cable and having it lying next to the monitor :)
I for one would rather see these features not on a monitor, especially the speakers, because all they serve to do is add cost and no real benefit to the end user, except those one or two office workers bludging watching stuff on youtube ;)
The MS238H, OTOH, is similar, but LED backlit.
The LED backlight gives it a ridiculously high contrast ratio, ( claimed 10,000,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio) and
Regarding the comments about connectors, I fail to see the point. HDMI switches are small, cheap and easily sourced, IF one really wanted to do dual duty with a game box.
As for pricing, the MS238, which is the higher end model, sells for around $210 or 160 EUR or 145 GBP.

Heard of it? It even has a HDMI-DVI cable supplied with it...

I agree that the stand is horrible though!
