Cut the Bastards Down

This is typical reaction of the panty wearing, religious majority that will never be far from power. All I can say is Fuck You....Don't vote next election and claim religious beliefs stopped you. I am all for killing off the pedophiles and the weirdo's but lets try starting in our own Governments and churches first. Christ there are just as many wankers there as there are in the real world. And if that doesn't work then close your internet account I'm sure that will get a reaction.

Bring back good old fashion rebellion we have become to apathetic... get off your arse's and FIGHT

@Please Help

Too right.

Unfortunately, as you pointed out, this thing is pretty much guaranteed.

Our only hope, as Nick pointed out, is for it to be rejected by the Liberal senate.

The Liberal Party itself is in turmoil because they just got a new leader. The old one was voted out a few weeks back by only a few votes. So now it's internally split too.

It doesn't help that the Liberal leader has been making controversial comments like "All students should be taught religion and read the bible"...

And now we wait...

Take to the streets, and take them to court.

They hate both of those things. And get yourselves some calm, clever spokespeople with proper clout.

A) It will never pass the Senate.
2) I have signed up to become a founding member of the Pirate Party of Australia.

Wanted : Govnerment

Here in Australia, we really only have two governments to vote for (God bless the illusion of Democracy). We have the Labour goverment (current), who showers us with candy and distracting us while burning bridges and road behind us. Then we have the Liberal government, who just burns everything in the name of making money and doesn't even try to hide the fact.
The current problem is the Liberal party had a massive overhaul and WILL not get in next election no matter WHAT. Which means Labour will remain in Government due to the lack of any alternative and will use it as an excuse to push forward with censorship. The Liberal government did it several years ago with IR laws.
Democracy is an illusion, our government is purely capitalism.
Australian Internet WILL be censored, and there isn't a damn thing anyone can do about it.

Aussie Government

It would appear that Mr. Rudd and
his Ministers have decided that the
Australian People need to have not only
a taste of Fascism but have their faces rubbed in it also.

theres no smoke without fire

methinks the aussie government has something to hide.

if they had a decent plausible argument then surely it would stand up to criticism?

theyre probably just as backward as the uk ones....

it doesn't matter who you vote for, the government always gets in

it's obvious that conroy, along with this government (as with the last), want TOTAL control over every aspect of their citizens lives.

not that they give a damn about climate change, dying rivers, corporate corruption, not to mention government corruption, all they want is to put more red tape where there isn't any, or a need for any.....

it's getting close to up against the wall time....
