This is a bling aimed to the VERY rich. A Wii console that cost as much as 2 Ferraris... These people would pay this amount of money happily if they can brag about it later.
Of course the console is fully functional. As for bluetooth and wifi signals, the golden cage can be used as antenna. I wouldn't doubt if SD and gameports lids are spring loaded or even automatic.
They should make the wiimote and nunchuk in carbon fiber or kevlar, as it would be lighter than the original. Solid gold ones would fly like bricks on their 280" Sony 3D flat screens.
Diamond buttons... do they still press? And a solid gold wii...what about the wires? Is there any room for them? And are they gold too? I mean I honestly do not see the point if the thing doesnt work!
I mean, if you want it for an ornament then thats fine! You could keep it in a solid gold cabinet with solid gold doors that don't open and with diamond handles so fine that you'd break them if you tried to turn them, and occasionally somehow take it out to show your solid gold banker friends how rich you are. Or, if all else fails, use it as a funky bookstand! But if your looking for an ornament then there must be more tasteful things out there than a games console!
Will it blend??

loves freebies. Im currently working towards a FREE itouch from http://gifts.kudosnetwork.co.uk/69002. Follow the link to do the same!
Seems to me, putting a Wii in the equivalent of a Faraday cage might not make it so good at attaching to a WiFi network.
Ah, sod it - if you have 300k to spend on a Wii, you can probably afford the £50 USB ethernet dongle. :)

Actually posting a picture of a golden shower oops I mean Wii must be somewhere between a page 2 girl and pr0n.
I just loved the beginning of the article about the greedy and immoral bankers . Its so apt and true.
I would not buy the wiwi for 100 euros... what a waist of resources...
I can think of much better things to do with 300K... if i had them :)
Would make a dandy door stop.
