funding what?

it always amuses me how downloading something for free will fund terrorists, drugs and pornography. if someone would like to explain the fiscal aspect of how this works im happy to listen. but as far as i can see it only works if you actually pay some money somewhere, say for a item made to similar quality but for a fraction of the price. (go to hong kong and buy a imitation watch)

Avast Ye Mateys

Anyway, like I was sayin', shrimp is the fruit of the sea. You can barbecue it, boil it, broil it, bake it, saute it. Dey's uh, shrimp-kabobs, shrimp creole, shrimp gumbo. Pan fried, deep fried, stir-fried. There's pineapple shrimp, lemon shrimp, coconut shrimp, pepper shrimp, shrimp soup, shrimp stew, shrimp salad, shrimp and potatoes, shrimp burger, shrimp sandwich. That- that's about it

Targeting porn, drugs and pirated software - all students beware!

If they go after people buying drugs, dodgy music and porn, then won't they be locking up most students?

Pirates - are they Somalian?

Pirates - people who hold you to ransom:

Pirates could be the original makers of expensive to buy but cheap to produce:
handbags
software
music
movies
watches

Why does a small mechanically simple device cost 1,000s but is very cheap to make? I'm talking about expensive watches.

Would you rather spend the money on fun or a device that is overpriced? Looks like another Apple or Sony customer to me.

Ludicy

This is just to dumb to read. Firstly, the majority of the works in question are from USA, so all the money goes to that continent, because EU was never in the business of building that (or those) industry here. Can you name 5 EU based (and EU owned) game developers or movie studios that do AAA titles... or TV shows for that matter?

So, it does not have to do with money pretty much.

Second, where did that moron see that pornography is not legal and a crime? Where?!? Pedophiles have to do with a small number of, most likely private, sites and hand-to-hand swapping of stuff than with big-time distribution.

And if they press the matter with arresting people or suing them for crazy ammounts or similar, the whole thing is going to burst, and bad at that.

shortsightedness

In essence the rich get richer and the poor get poorer. All this is saying is saying is that as soon as they have this in law and fixed up the patent laws they can claim everything under the sun as piracy and grant their illicit favored business partners the right to squander and gouge consumers. How do these people get elected... special interest groups???

Paul this is what i think...

paul you dumbass, locking people up will mean you'll feed them and cloth them and pay their rent, rates and bills for as long as they are locked up! Guess what?! you, my son will pay all these costs!

Not to mention when these people are released from prison in their 40s and 50s, you don't expect them to go and get a nice paying job or even get a good education do you?!

If you do you don't know what year this is and which planet you are on.

So naturally people/businesses will be reluctant in hiring these ex-convicts.... meaning only that these lot return to the life of crime!

They might become wise and do things very subtly so not to be caught again, but they are still at it, nonetheless and command the new younger criminals and so crime will remain always, no matter what!

you wait and see, my son. If you live long enough to witness the situation in, say, 10years i'll tell you "told you so".

Look at your teenage pregnancy and the repeat abortion. This is on top of all the millions spent on free contraception and sex education and so on. It ain't working. the so called freedom that the free people enjoy gives them the right to abuse and take advantage of the situation and someone somewhere is profiteering from it.

I recently realised my GP surgery has become a MOT testing centre for all the local women and girls think something like a brothel centre checkout - something like that. Now there's no appointments available for all the local old, poor residents as all the appointments are allocated to these prostitutes... If you are lucky enough to get the appointment you'll notice 99.99% are females who look perfectly well! Waiting in the waiting area.

Jesus said, something along the lines of: YOU EVIL AND ADULTEROUS NATION... some 2000years ago. Trouble is you people have not evolved too far since then, and still falling foul of these simple animal instinct: sex and reproduction... in the animal kingdom they have learnt to cope and sustain these issues well. So going to the moon and star and whatever else don't change these small things as sex.

Anyway, bye my sons.
Jon.

as usual

People downloading are conveniently called terrorists, pedophilist or whatever.
The shareholders (and copyright holders) are the ones who earned the money so "hardly" while the true artists are starving in their basements.

Well, sign me up then!

So buying counterfeit items goes toward supporting drugs and pornography?
Anyone know where I can buy some Reulex watches and Guchii bags? And do the drugs and pornography actually come with the counterfeit items or must they be purchased separately?
I fail to see the problem here...

The more, the merrier

The more pirates, aka criminals the EU locks up the better be it for counterfeit software, bogus designer wear or copyright protected art. Get that scum off the streets and in prison where they belong.
