Facebook's migration tool not only "recommends" that everything be open to everyone, but the "legacy settings" it claims you'd set before aren't actually what you had, and they open a bunch of previously private or "friends only" stuff to "friends of friends" or wider.

It's amusing that Zuckerberg got caught out by this, but given the amount of horsing around to check all this shit and the supposed rationale for "simplifying" the privacy settings, the people responsible are a bunch of fucking liars, more or less.
