Bump in desktops?

I think the increasing demand stems from various forms of file servers.
- Corporate servers.
- Home NAS.
- Home user's external HDDs, more or less performing the function of a NAS.

Calm down

If you need a drive that bad. shove a 2.5 in your rig. It will get you by especially if its for storage. When drives come on sale I usually buy two so I'm not caught short.

WTF?

Sounds like they are not happy with the now reasonable prices and need a way to increase them somehow, or are they trying to make their ssd's look more attractive and affordable to consumers.

Its Christmas!

Lots of scare stories about shortages - memory, drives, mince pies....

All trying to panic you, the consumer into buying now!

"Have you got any left?"
"Umm....we're down to the last few", he said staring a giant warehouse full of stock.
