Very true. It would be better if all the greedy were the mouth breather types like those at Friends Reunited. This would make their stay here short. Unfortunately, most of the greedy types are too smart to cannibalize their own market and kill themselves.....

The problem with Friends Reunited is that the owners tried to monetize everything off the bat, leaving people with a pretty dull experience unless they were willing to pony up some cash, which they were not. After all, why would the masses pay anything for stuff they can get elsewhere for free at, say, Facebook?

If the value is in the network, why inhibit the growth of the network just to make a few easy quid? Maybe the new owners of Friends Reunited know the answer to that now.
