Agreed

I agree with Derek, i got this phone for my wife as an upgrade from her Nokia 5800. Same OS but SE has crippled it with its UI. As well we have a very hard time using the wifi. it seems likes it always drops, not even sure if it works. The FW fix did nothing. I had considered a N97 for her but saw this was the same OS with better camera and faster processor with more ram. Now I regret it, the N97 for all its flaws was at least a smart phone. This is just a camera phone, not worth the heavy price we paid in Qatar

Still buggy after update.

I updated the firmware this week and the phone is still really slow to start up. The response of the touch screen is still very sluggish. It still arbitrarliy fails to playback video taken with its own camera. When it does the audio goes out of sync. The radio fails and causes the phone to freeze. It still drops its WiFi connection. I am struggling to see what Sony have fixed.
Even it there weren't any bugs, the user interface is really poorly laid out. It's all over the place and counter intuitive. I wouldn't recommend this phone to anyone.
