smells like..

... a publicity stunt. I don't believe there will be any Crunchpad or they had in mind building one in the first place. Snatched or not from their hands two days from lunch as the story claims have you seen it yet?

doom doom doom

The days were better when your word was good enough. In the good old days, the suits at Fusion would be skinned alive and hung up to dry.

+1 on the contract

What a total tool for not getting the legalities sorted out first and foremost, what was this "business" relationship based on, a nod and a wink FFS?

Sounds like it's got "fail" written all over it anyway, so he's probably best out of it.

EMBRACE IT

Its called glorious failure. Its 100% about how you overcome not what you accomplish. Ditka 101.

If stealth project you would've avoided the litigation hyenas and maybe worked on buttoning up the IP. Next time attend to the IP first - then seek hyena funding

Get your contracts in order...

... or don't whine when people pull the rug from under you. Really, why would they even call it a "partnership" if they're obviously not bound to work together?

A fool and his "partnership" are soon parted.

VapourWare?

Maybe I'm just missing something-
but I can't see how they can get a decent Hardware BOM (Bill of Materials)- in the 200-300 range as promised.

This thing would really need touch screen + Wireless N + WWAN + LED + USB + Battery + MB + CPU + etc + etc

Them things aren't cheap to get them good and that's why an apple tablet is gonna be bank...

Disgusting...

This is just plain wrong. If the scarce information is correct, then Fusion are an example of the type of lowlife scum that make life on this planet miserable. I hope that some kind of justice can occur here, even if it looks unlikly to transpire.

Authorities in several countries raided Megaupload recently, shut down all of its services, seized hundreds of servers and arrested several of its executives on criminal charges.

Do you think the move was justified?
