Hoping for an update

I hope that soon a new Kindle will be announced and that the publisher + local telecommunication companies notice that limiting E-books is the wrong way.

Regarding the Nook: You cant download , not even buy content outside of the US. Neither through the NOok nor from a PC. You can try to hide your IP its the only way. The Nook is more or less worthless right now for interantional customers.

: "Good luck".

Canada will be added in teh near future the other countries no plan for that right now .

Kill switch

The Kindle still has the infamous remote kill switch. That means I won't buy it.
In fact, I just got a Barnes & Noble nook. While that isn't sold outside the US AFAIK, it should work fine in Europe due to its built-in Wifi. I can just connect to any hotspot and download books.

Kindle

Have a Kindle and recent sony ereader. Prefer the kindle for casual reading, bought the sony for pdf. PDF support is in kindle now but zoom is problematic for me.

Much prefer the kindle to the sony - easier to read and easier to buy books on amazon. Do note there are several free books on amazon. I got the book one of two series free (guess what - I bought all the books of these series after) so no need to include free book with kindle

Authorities in several countries raided Megaupload recently, shut down all of its services, seized hundreds of servers and arrested several of its executives on criminal charges.

Do you think the move was justified?
