No you don't know... easy mode way of putting it is "when did the 1st century started?" and go from there.

So lets not go back to Y2K/21st century discussions again.

I can think of 5 things in here that deserve no mention and another 15 (i can think of this moment) that do.

A decade is 10 years. 2000-2009 is 10 years. How exactly is that too soon? Failure to count much?
Whereas the 21st century began on 1st Jan 2001, the decade referred to here clearly began in 1st Jan 2000. Stay in school buddy.

On another note, this list is very much biased and uninformed.

Who would have thought a very US-centric list would come out of a New York based organisation.

The decade has another year to run. It will end at midnight 31 December 2010. To pretend otherwise is like running a ten-mile race and calling it done as you begin the tenth mile.

Whatever you think of this list, just be thankful that this wasn't another lame link to the INQ's sister site V3 and their vacuous top 10 lists.

If Googles IPO counts, surely the emergence of Facebook/Social Network has got to be included? More people are on that then have an iPhone...

Online moments, huh? Exactly how is the Apple Iphone an Online moment? lol

Also, the Iphone was not the first phone to offer internet browsing so don't know why that's even there. Whatever.

What about all the new Internet browsers that changed Online browsing totally, like the launch of Firefox? There are also many thing's left out here. I think the internet was used very much in the 2004 and 2006 elections too, IMO.

Obviously, not a lot of effort put into this. I'll pass...
