I wouldn't beat yourself up too much about it.

Don't suppose you(or any other mega XD!!super cool undernet m8s) might want to supply your other notworking site profiles that you visit, and/or your address and/or real name?...
then some of us nice people can stick ur details up on an /i/ board & u can share the fun.
There's some right cunts commenting on this web-site.
I'm guessing that like me, you're not a kid at school (although you could do with growing up) and were probably there before social networking really took off. So how the fuck can you pass judgement on the experiences of a 12-year-old being bullied on the web?
I'm sure this isn't just forum banter, but bullying by people familiar to them, probably as a group. There may be physical violence or threats of it at school, followed by a campaign on the net that means they have to restrict their social life even in the privacy of their own bedroom. Not nice.
Some of these comments leave me quite flabberghasted as the twattishness of the readership here..
This is what you get for being on the Internet, and participating in social networking. If it's too much to handle, disconnect.
You know what would be even worse? If these kids grew up under the illusions that the real world is an endearing place, where people are always supportive and nice.
Now that would be a real tragedy.
Think of this "cyber bullying" as a rite of passage into the Internet. Harden your skin, you'll be better for it on the Internet, and in real life.
Whether some person do or don't know that the net can be used for bullying is of no interest here.
Even a person that's never ever used a computer can be bullied on the net, and one of the problems is that the victim might not even get to know about it until it's way too late.
Slander, lies and general trashing of a persons reputation is so easily done, and you can do it incognito.
Less they mention the number one social networking hotspot for bullying.. the school (shut it down). Or maybe they've included trolling and flame wars in their statistics?
The majority of the posters/bleaters have clearly never had anyone actually cyberstalk/bully them. Here's a clue. Deleting the bulley doesn't help a lot.
"So when Sally called them cowards, she was right. The 3 other responses below Sally's are trying to be funny but are just picking at a parent with a hurt kid."
Trying to be funny and succeeding! I don't consider myself to be a coward, the only proof I can provide is my friendship on facebook http://www.facebook.com/bighamz add me if you dare!
In regards to not knowing the whole story, that's correct. All parties involved know who I am and could come visit me at my house if they like.
You share Similarities with my current victim, as you have both tried to intelligently analyse posts to only show how little intelligence you actually have, I would go as far as to say that interested_party is most likely a female as the majority of males either agree with me or know better than to respond to internet bullying (lol)
Your post interested_party is on the same intelligence level as someone spamming "You're gay!" (Yes I'm saying you've posted unfounded shit)
BTW: thank you for basically validating my previous post.
Unlucky Sally, but the internet is for everyone inc idiots, bullies, victims, nutters, wierdos, normals, etc.
If you have played online then we have all had smacktalk type bullying, especially when you beat people in games ;-)
Proper bullying, well I have only ever seen that a couple of times and it's been on forums or newsgroups where 2 people are arguing with each other and everyone else is usually laughing or telling them to grow up.
When you can do something without any repercussions, like cyber bullying, then it shows a person's character. The same thing also applies to happy slapping, road rage, drunken assaults etc.
The one thing they all have in common is that the attacker thinks they have little chance of being caught and facing the consequences of their actions. Anonymous Attack.
So when Sally called them cowards, she was right. The 3 other responses below Sally's are trying to be funny but are just picking at a parent with a hurt kid.
Scomak "Currently causing grief for some idiot chick on facebook right now." If that could be linked to you in real life I doubt you would be so proud about it. I expect your family and friends would be ashamed. Based purely on your comment and me not knowing the whole story.
On the other hand "that's what you get on the internet, trash". You get crazies, junkies, angries, saddos, desperados, normals and everything else.
This article kinda made me think of the people who kill themselves over such insignificant stuff (as in... not being able to play Wii because your sister is watching tv, or having your ipod stolen).. An Heroes ftw! They give me something to LOL about every once in a while.
(if you don't know what I'm talking about -- http://encyclopediadramatica.com/An_hero)
Rationalize, people. It's not really that big of a big deal..
This article is gold. Currently causing grief for some idiot chick on facebook right now. Bullying isn't a problem on the Internet. Idiocy is however. Sally sucked in for having an idiot daughter who can't comprehend that the internet is all trash.
Oh My!? Did I just... bully you? LOL! All heart bleeds gtfo of mah internet.
Social networking is the scourge of the internet. IRC was as far as it ever should have gone.
My daughter was recently a victim of this cowardly form of bullying,it has done more harm than i could even begin to mention. She deleted them immediately but the damage had already been done and of course continued.
This is really really silly if they are being bullied then they should just delete the bullys from their accounts change their numbers and accounts there really shouldnt be this amount of fuss when it can be solve by someone just clickinga few buttons
I wouldn't beat yourself up too much about it.

It's the Internet.
Quit being a crybaby about everything. Life isn't fair. People are twits.
Move on.
It is the responsibility of the site administrators and moderators to uphold the laws and regulations of the site but so often this isn't done.
For messaging and chat programmes it's easy to block someone but not to stop them from spreading lies....I don't know a solution for this one.

Egads! You're intelligence has done blinded me! Truely you are a prophet for future generations and the next step in human evolution!
Are you proud of yourself little man?

If that is so the your daughter is gay wuss-bag. Tell her to grow a pair and get on with life. Life is tough, she should learn to deal with it.
100% agree.

Is another survey conducted by an organization who use said survey
to 1) Justify their existence.
or 2) Increase their funding.
or 3) Create tabloid headlines
or 4) 1) 2) and 3)!
I am not saying that cyberbullying doesn't happen, but I am really doubtful as to the veracity of the figures they quote.
