First they somehow manage to put out subpar netbooks: in a world where the specs are almost identical. And now....another turd. Ridiculous marketing games, layered deals which are like buying from a carny, poor service, 3rd rate products...I'm happy to watch you die Dell, just wish it wasn't such a prolonged death.
1) Is there is a seriously "diss Dell" bent to these comments, characterized by varying levels of wrong, innaccurate and mindlessly abusive and/or condescending.
2) Every keyboard on the planet is either flat or sloped in the same direction as this notebook. Personally, after 25+ years of professional keyboard pounding, I rate flat keyboards as the worst to use. But hey, I am just someone who beats keys for a living. This one may be too steep, but I would need to actually try it to have an opinion - unlike those commenters referred to in point (1)
3) 5 hours is a seiously long battery life, relative to the 2 to 2 1/2 hours that journalists seemed quite happy to accept only a very short time ago. In fact, 2 1/2hr was the apparent design goal for a decade or more. I have never actually owned a notebook for that reason (and (4) below) actually.
(4) Form factor is they key, and it is pleasing that notebook manufacturers have finally "got a clue" and started providing machines that actually can be carried everywhere. Most people could care less about CPU power, they care about lugging 2-3kg long distances though - a fact that apparently escaped the marketing research retards for an unfeasibly long time.
A year ago I bought a Dell xps m1530.Once I wipped vista off it its the best notebook I have ever seen for $1200. on sale with 2 year Complete warranty(EVEN if I drop it and it breaks)2.4 cpu high def screen finger reader slot load dvd player (slow but read scratched cd very well)4 gb ram touch controls remote control and on and on. The Adamo is a glorified netbook underwhelming is all aspects except skinny. My XPS is about 35mm at the fattest and 25mm at the thinest. I might but the Adamo for $600. abiut whats it worth. I hope people dont but it because I dont want this becoming the NEW notebook standard.
NOT IMPRESSED!
I finally figured out why it looks so wrong after looking at other pics on another site *cough*udzilla.
If you look at it upside down, then the keyboard is where the screen usually is and vice versa. Sort that minor error on the designers part and they could be onto something, well as soon as they knock the first digit off the price....
I guess Dell is entering a new niche market - clumsy when used, but stacks along nicely with everything else you bought for your big bucks and never used again.
This has to be the worst "premium" product I've ever seen. Horrible design, horrible components (Intel graphics? Really Dell) and a high price tag.
Who would actively want to purchase such a heap?

Dweeb
You "only" get about 5 hours on battery. How in the F#@% can you complain about 5 hours of battery life? Are your parents related by blood?
Gah, how could they make something so dangerously unergonomic.
Your keyboard should slant away from you or be flat. Typing on a keyboard slanted towards you will damage your wrists. :(
Oh and I'd rather have an eee

so I guess they're stuck doing this stupid one-upsmanship crap.
... it looks decidedly incompatible with any normal human lap.

bizarrely not stackable!
