@Olle P, Peetee

I agree with Olle - Google's openess about what they do with ones data affords them a lot more trust in my opinion.

Microsoft do exactly the same sorts of things, but they don't tell you, allow you to manage it, or let you opt out easily.

I also like the philanthropic nature of Google. Bill Gates tries now he has handed over the reigns, but he is essentially a capitalist and therefore should be stoned to death (again, just my opinion!)

@ Peetee

I think in quite the opposite direction:
For those interested in privacy it's great to have this opportunity to find at least some of Google's knowledge about their activities.

That way one can see where the personal security needs to be further tightened.

Wouldn't Trust Google This time

To some - google dashboard could be a handy tool for their busy life, but to a geek who work in total privacy this could be a real threat to their security

- As said from the mouth of Microsoft CEO:

"Google reads your gmail account once ina while" when you're under scrutiny.

Authorities in several countries raided Megaupload recently, shut down all of its services, seized hundreds of servers and arrested several of its executives on criminal charges.

Do you think the move was justified?
