are what is keeping Microsoft "strong", as Monkey Boy said. I hope these "developers" stop pouring effort into something that is designed to enhance Microsoft fat-client lock-in, and move to a platform-neutral development language (such as java, etc.). This will be more and more important as more businesses move to Linux-based thin clients (IMHO, Microsoft's "mono" is an admission of this trend, and an effort to maintain some control over evolving IT systems).
"...this next wave of tools ... to build better software, faster ..."
Blah, blah. This is the next spinning of the broken record called "Visual" Studio probably with new ribbon interface (M$ Office anyone)?
Will they (M$) ever learn devs need more than their promises and new interfaces?!?
Is full of win.
Back to the main topic, I found:
1) VS2008 to be excellent
2) VS2010 beta 1 to be hideous
So let's see how this turns out. I'm reluctant to install VS2010 after my previous experience with beta 1
Sorry about promo, heres simplier link, Grab that Thursday Ticket Included....
