I really can't understand why any self respecting/serious company would be willing to trust its email and documents, many or which must contain sensitive information, to the Cloud.
I have at least once a month or so that gmail doesn't function well or at all. I don't think I'd recommend that for enterprise just yet. And unless I'm missing something google apps really doesn't compare to exchange + office.
I like google apps, but only for stuff that I can't be bothered to manage myself. Like email for small domains that I own.

If it were to push for uptake in the UK, it would have to call itself googlemail, as any UK user who tried to get a gmail account can tell you.
