With so many free or cheap clones more than adequate for any 2d design, and with cheaper 3d packages such as Alibre, its hard to understand why anyone still buys autocad. To me designing in 2d in 2009 is like chiseling a document on a stone tablet.
Astonishingly the vast majority of design in the US (i'm in NZ) is still done this way.
