GTX 295, noisy?

Your title is liquid cooled, would not liquid cooling remove most of the noise? It does until you really push the card which is hard to do.
"Noisy, pricey and powerful – it’s an American muscle card."
That's right and it has death rays built in too.
I agree that was a killer rig in the review.
But in reality this is overkill, not the liquid cooling but the cards. Quote from linked review:
" * A GeForce GTX 295 requires you to have a 700+ Watt power supply unit at minimum if you use it in a high-end system. That power supply needs to have (in total accumulated) at least 50 Amps available on the +12 volt rail."
and a quad 2x GTX295 needs, "A second GeForce GTX 295 requires you to add another 300 Watts. You need a 1000 Watt power supply unit if you use it in a high-end system. That power supply needs to have (in total accumulated) at least 70 Amps available on the +12 volt rail." A small power station.
Sadly it seems new computer games are getting less demanding since developers want to write for the Kiddie Consoles first and then make crap PC ports as an afterthought. The couple of year old Crysis one and Farcry 2 are probably still King. I don't even think id Softwares new Tech 5 engine is going to push the envelope since it looks like John Carmack is too busy worrying about iPhone games and Kiddie consoles now.
Look at Wolfenstein, just released. PC requirements is a P4 and it uses an old engine that is Kiddie console friendly.
I single chip GTX 285 (I own one) setup can handle anything out there right now at 1920 x 1200 for allot less cash and your electric bill will thank you too.

Authorities in several countries raided Megaupload recently, shut down all of its services, seized hundreds of servers and arrested several of its executives on criminal charges.

Do you think the move was justified?
