Asrock uses freedos on their mobo driver cds. Not a bad thing.

X does allow one to analyze curved surfaces visually.

Well for Linux, when it comes down to it I find that the X Windows system is really just a way to have more terminals accessible at once.

just how fast a computer could be until I recently had to re-flash my bios and had to make a CDROM with FreeDos and a few other bits an pieces.
I now realise the desktop is not an achievement but a hindrance! I'm going to re-write anything I need in ncurses..
