I don't know, this seems to be stretching it a bit. The atom laptops seem to be doing very well with quite a few customers who just need a bit of computing power for office and school needs. I see them fly off the shelves and customers seem to like them.
The demand is high in the states. As for china? who cares? let them absorb all they can absorb. I'm certain they can't saturate that market easily with the population they have over there.
If they are trying to indirectly price fix, it WILL blow up in their faces. Both ASUS and Intel.
Excuse me, but aren't these alligations equivalent to claiming that Intel is illegally manipulating the market in order to set prices?
We all know that is impossible unless you are a government appointed monopoly.
As an American Libertarian I object to these scurrlous alligations and trust that Intel will soon be suing the author's ass off for the crime of defamation.
That's what happens when you veer from true free market economics and start playing footsie with lawyers, politicians and other, Marxist, scum.
Shut up and sell your chips, Intel. As long as you get paid the agreed-upon price, it's no business of yours to whom ASUS or anyone else sells 'em.
The only thing you need to take care is that you don't sell them in violation of U.S. Export Controls. Otherwise, the REAL intel people will come looking for you, black helicopters and all.
