Did anyone read the article? It's for embedded markets, not PCs! AMD will no doubt introduce something similar to replace the HD3200/3300 sometime in the near future. BTW, the stated power draw for the module, memory and all, is 25W. A little much for an ARM device, don't you think?
Once was day when embeddded graphics was cheap way to skip cheap card, so it worked & 3D lived. Then came You Canplay TWO.
Yet with native vga port NOT Conected or at wide disparity, it was litle time power gamer cooked little ones embedded world & all that extra monies & restricitons, worthless.
For more than main costs, you could continue, because vga native blew its mind anyway, at least on desktop. why simple vga never wears out & imbedded almost always do. Weap, Boo Hoo. MaMA We Need New Everything. Scams & Circus clowns Abound.....
I would love to see an embedded chip that offers decent frames as an entry level starting point for a cpu/gpu, But, I don't think it's quite there yet.
Proof is in the pudding and this one is still just a box of mix on the shelf.
Any thoughts on it's performance relative to desktop parts? The name seems like it should be faster than a desktop 4670? This part looks like it has 320 shaders @ 600 Mhz and 128bit GDDR3 at 700Mhz (1400Mhz?)
Seems like it's name should have been more like an E4650?

looking at the specs it is similar to 3850, so i dont see why it would have any problems

Embedded in a low power computer with an ARM processor? One that needs no fan? Where can I place my order?
I wonder if the e4960 will work with my e3600
