In the CyberIntelAIgent Field, any Virtual Action which is intended to support a Dominating Position/Imperial Perception rather than Promote an Equitable Singularity of Shared Good Beta Best Practices, Fit for Future Purpose, will Fail both Miserably and Catastrophically, with Dire Consequences for the Misguided Perpetrators/Wannabe CyberSpace Leaders, for as has been pointed out, IT is an Intellectual Space which does not Suffer the Fool with Blunt Instrument Tools and their Ideas.

hector,
Whenever it is posited that coherence is always present, would it challenge and highlight a deficiency in one's own perception skills rather than suggesting anything shared was not understandable and gibberish ........ and do not discount that it may also be a subset of Python in the Semantic Web Hierarchical Environment of ESPecialised IT Services for Cloud Stealth Server Phorms/Farms ..... Virtual Maninfestations.
Others may just jump into the Dirty Deep End and suggest that Recreational Medicinal Supplies have been temporarily interrupted/exhausted, although such would be just pure malicious speculation, thoroughly deserved of the Being sent to Coventry Handling Defence/Silence Assault.
@Glenn that is also how I imagine U.S. offensive cyber warfare to happen. I imagine drones or soldiers equipped with hardware that allows them to physically track down the sources of cyber attacks, once the general geographical area has been identified. Then the drones or soldiers would directly attack/jam networking equipment and switches or simply blow up the building or the telecommunications infrastructure. This is assuming this was an actual war and not just a law enforcement action.
Are bullets not effective against cyber terrorists? I think they are. Once you've caught the individual(s) responsible and had a trial and they're found guilty then you put a bullet through their head. The great thing is you never have to worry about them re-offending.
Apparent problems lies mostly with systems, like logistical, that have to interface/communicate with commercial systems on public Internet. Most "operational" military systems are well-protected, as are most "black" systems. Other cybersecurity headaches are Dept. of Energy, i.e., nuclear, facilities, and military research in academia; those eggheads have no conception of need to keep secrets. As far as DOE is concerned, that's what you get when you let civilian government employees handle anything, a totally bolloxed mess.
But it's always a good thing to get your future enemies thinking that you're all screwed up. Makes the surprise when you ram it up their arses all the more fun.
Hi-HC Here. Special Top Secret Communique from White House Discloses Latest Budget balancing Act:
Dear Hillary,
Just when I thought I've seen everything...
The Republicans have dragged out Newt Gingrich to headline a fundraising dinner.
President Obama and the Democratic Party are leading this country into the future. Let the has beens and never weres(Ultee') in the Republican Party fight among themselves. We want you to join us for a different kind of dinner. No Newts allowed.
There is less than a week left for your chance to win a free trip to Washington, DC on June 18th to meet President Obama, have dinner and go home with a photograph with him. The dinner is June 18th and the deadline to enter is less than a week away! Enter now - the more times you Could Be Next Travel Gate....Diplomacy Works that way.
n.b. NoWhere does press secratary State You will actually meet anyone, Assuming You Eat & Pay Your Way, Well, You Do Get Picture, Right? With Him, Means Your DL.If they could Keep You, They Will. Geeks Particularly susceptable.
I imagine that the U.S. military could easily develop very advanced cyber attack capabilities based on specialized hardware that could disrupt or destroy enemy networks. I also imagine they can develop hardened computers and networks on military vessels and equipment to resist attacks, but I doubt they can do anything to protect civilian computers and networks.
Just what I want, the US frakking govern-ment designing security for my computer's money transactions. Given how well they handle the US Postal Service, AMTRAK and other exemplary entities their idea of security is likely to be a condom over the Ethernet or CAT5 cable termination.
That or a USB cigar smoking device. Apparently if you smoke fat cigars you're fireproof. Worked for Willy Clinton.
I can hardly wait...

Only coherent because of cut and paste.

Obviously bobs been hanging out with bill
If the US get up to too many shenanigans, other countries might drop the US kit in their server rooms and switch for Chinese/EU origin kit.

So that's why they want Gary in the US ... its not a trial ... its a job interview. A bit heavy handed even for the yanks.
Are they hiring Gary McKinnon?
