the mafiaa has bought a really big gun, aimed at carefully at their foot, and shot it off. Now they're sitting bleeding on the ground wondering if it has the strength to shoot its head off as well. Clearly, the poor creature should be put out of its misery.

When the Music Industry becomes its own enemy.

In point of fact, both the Film Industry and the music industry are being their own worst enemy.

For instance, when YouTube were requested to take out copies of sound tracks used this has a huge detrimental effect as in many cases it is only when a person runs the clip are they then made aware of the music. What should have been arranged is, that any one who sees or hears of a particular film clip whether it be ‘YouTube’ or any other, the download should be programed so that the person who downloaded it can purchase a copy legally.

There are many clips on ‘YouTube’ I would willingly pay for if I could, some of which you now can purchase, yet there are many you cannot.

greedy b'stards

when people in the entertainment industry stop being paid obscene wages, the pittance-paid public may begin to feel guilty about piracy.

until then there is no shame in stealing from the rich.

Friction

Get paid to play. Entertainment Industry thinks its now a life NECESSITY rather than a extra free time activity. Do the crops in the field need music and movies to grow ? Do manufacturing plants NEED movies and music to produce your goods ? If all Sports and ball game were stopped would the world go hungry and freeze to death from no nike stamped clothes to wear? PRIORITIES vs ENTERTAINMENT. Before the entertainment age of radio and TV the world survived just fine and grew.

Now we are all spoiled rotton and the WORLD OWES us to be entertained . Can you believe people play sports with recieving a dime ? And people actually play music without recieving money ?

God forbid they should have a hobby they enjoy that does not pay them! Stop paying for sports games and music and I bet it would still exist.

PRIORITIES. I actually survived life without watching ball games or music, can you imagine that ? In fact people all over the world that have no TV or Tunes daily still manage to live , how awful ! How dare they !

The world has been doing fine for Generations without Entertainment cops . Good choice Brits, Good Luck

Meeting Halfway

The RIAA and clan need to come at least halfway before they start making demands on other industries to enforce their draconian opinions. No one believes that any reasonable fraction of what they are told to pay for media actually goes to the artist, so very few people can muster up any guilt about file sharing. Pay the artists more, stop talking in that whiny voice, and then maybe the world will start listening.
Heck, in this age of Youtube, etc. distribution and massive amounts of published media that ISN'T worth listening to, who wants/needs a publisher anyways? The internet is cutting out the middleman, and the middleman just needs to go find another line of work.

Do you think the move was justified?
