I think some fanboys are upset by this article, i for one dont care which gpu i use or what cpu i use, i have no side.
Nvidia hasn't released any info on the GT300,but im sure that there would be a leak if they had already taped out. At least something, so you can't say its just speculation. Looking in the past Nvidia hasn't kept their timelines, but who cares its just a few more months.
Who says that ATI 5870 won't beat GT300, then again who says GT300 won't beat 5870. I'll go for which ever card turns out to be better, or more cost effective. To all the fanboys tho, your making a big fuss over someone's opinion and its quite sad. It may or may not be true, its just like that whole deal with planet x, we'll just have to wait and see.
It's a common theme to write what you know about. It seems Charlie is intimately familiar with illicit internet drugs, ePeen enlargement, Nigerian scams and other things like tabloid journalism. Now at least we know what Charlie really does for his day job.
drips these "leaks" out of his ass. Laugh at them, but don't believe a word. Its idle speculation. For all we know, GT300 taped out months ago. nVidia has released no information.
Nvidia could risk start the production lots (this has been done in the IC world). Of course if things go wrong you end up scrapping these wafers, but this is just another possibility. Also the 8 week hot box assumption may be on the high side.
Either way the schedule is tight, unfortunately with Charlie's built in bias and vendetta against Nvidia, it is difficult to take things at face value and figure out where he might be stretching or fudging things or if he is giving it straight.
oh, Boy, Is Nvidia In For Headache, Migraine Kind. 300 will Probably Miss much Ultimate from 7 work, even if 7 hits Retail Before Tape Out. Next Fall or Winter: Nvidia this & Nvidia That. Maybe better, only due to Jens Constant New Habit of Popping Clever Blue & White AZT p Caps: BUY INDOCIN HERE 75 mgm per. Drashek MD (Don't Tell His Mom, its zuduvirane look alike.)
I've been reading the Inq for some time now. I've read several of Charlie's articles and have a tendency to peep at the responses to those articles to get a second opinion. What I find odd/strange is the repeated posts that:
-I will never come here again
-Ad Hominem replies
-and other hackney and stilted responses that don't provide any opinion to the article itself.
So, I ask that if you really dislike Charlie's articles please stop posting comments. I for one would like to read some decent rebuttals for once!
I understand that many of you disagree with Charlie's tone, but that does not make the point that Charlie is making any less true... All you have to do is look back at the previous generation of NEW chips that Nvidia (and for that matter ATI) has created and see how many respins they did before shipping product.. one or two for every one. With a chip this complex ( I am estimating mre than 1.5 Billion transistors), I have no doubt that Nvidia will have to respin GT300 at least one time. That being the case, I think that Charlie's suggested time table is pretty spot on here.
I would be VERY surprised to see anything GT300 before December/January.
ok, I came here with high hopes to hear about something interesting from the graphic card maker, instead (as always) this is once again a drummed up, juvenile, lethargic post. I do have a question, how come there is tax you have to pay yearly on your Television, would not this be such a crime in itself, what about the fight against Cancer, Alzheimer’s, do not these pose a more argumentative tone than a graphic card maker? I have no beef with what card you rock with, let alone your CPU. But for this life of me, did Nvidia put a hit out on you? Did the green Godzilla burn down your Japanese town and the almighty ATI Megladon come to your rescue? I am truly “NOT” pointing ‘or’ making fun of but, what do you hold sour resentment against Nvidia. My question to you why don’t you take all your thunder and point it at Windows and creative? where does the hatred stem from.
Nvidia in the Drug Industries is old news. Jen-Sun Huang who believes the Sun shines out of his arse has been supplying a green feel good Pill called INVINCEABE mainly to their Fanboys who regularly overdose on them and some hardware testing sites on the net for years now.
Some known side effects of this Big Pill are hallucinogenic delusions, arrogance feelings, bouts of pride etc, it’s also known to be hard to swallow by some.
It wouldn’t surprise me to much if Nvidia started manufacturing and supplying Pain Killers these days especially to their existing and future customers who have been or will be burnt by their hot products causing them heartache and pain. Expected side effects, Addictive, can cause depression and leaves a bitter taste in the mouth of many.
there are those with hurt feelings... there, there, girls, no need to cry, its all going to be just fine. this card will be out on time. and it will be the most beautiful vid-card out there. as always.
very few things are as fan as antagonizing... no, help certain people antagonize themselves!
still puzzles me though why those certain people take the f...ck-ups of certain corporation so closely to heart.
Just like all of your recent nVidia predictions, this one will be incorrect, as well. GT300 will be here in October and you'll probably be ranting about how terrible it is compared to the AMD offering. Do they teach biased journalism in college?
I wouldn't be surprised in the least if this was indeed released in November, or at worse next year. Nvidia just never seems to release anything on time since the g92. On a more upbeat note there are rumors that rv870 being released in July/August.

Now, which of these best describes Charlie Demerjian?
If ever Charlie Demerjian was a journalist, that time has long passed.
He can for quite some time now, at best, barely be considered a blogger.
If this is what you were shooting for Charlie, Bravo!! You've arrived!!
I don't think even the most emotionally wounded women carry a grudge for this long. Maybe he needs some Pharma for himself!!
Good Luck Charlie, you'll go down in history as the largest douchebag ever to touch a keyboard, but at least you'll go down in history. Congrats.

that's not drashek that's an imposter!
How much money do their cousins take, fix that charlie, and I do agree on the dates but I think they are a little optimistic.
And drashek how low have you fallen, you are actually starting to make sense?

Indocin isn't a painkiller, it's an anti-inflammatory. I take it when my gout flares up :)
