UPS vendor wannabe...

1500VA / 900W? Power Factor of 0.6? That's stone age technology, come on, every other UPS vendor could offer Pf @ 0.8 and Eaton Powerware has a new line with Pf @ 0.9...

When is the last time you saw a PSU rated in VA? The active power is what really matters and all modern PSU are PFC (Power Factor Corrected), so their Pf is leading, not lagging. As a result this nice looking baby could provide not more than 600-700W of active power...300 USD for obsolete technology? No, thanks.

UPS is not just for power outages

UPS is not just for power outages.
It helps a lot with filtering the power. Protecting the PC from over voltage/under voltage and power line noise. In the end, it could help incrase the life of your power supply and/or other parts as they will not receive as many power surges etc.

So, it basically helps with PC stability. And the more stable your power, the better for overclocking etc, or less crashing!!!

Well its always important to have a good power supply. And you need good power to feed that good power supply!

Dont forget SSD

with their quite shockingly fast and expensive vertex brand. I know that must have been at the back of your mind.

I want one of those in fact I want two but not at that price ;)

UPS could be handy if I was unsure of my electricity supply. But here in Northamptonshire supply outage rate is reassuringly boringly low.

Touchin' wood there boy.

Do you think the move was justified?
